Jeanette Solognier

Jeanette finished her studies at the Police Academy in 1984 and hereafter worked at the uniformed division and the investigative department of the Korps Politie Aruba. During her career, she followed other courses within the police organization. She also obtained her degree as a Tax Auditor and in 1992 was transferred to the Tax Authority Aruba (Government). As a Tax Auditor she gained experience in conducting tax audits at large and medium-sized organizations as well as tax fraud investigations.

In 1997, she was outsourced to the Recherche Samenwerkingsteam (RST) as financial investigator to investigate (tax) fraud, money laundering, organized crime and drug trafficking. During that period she gained a lot of experience in the field of compliance and worked closely with banks, in particular guiding compliance officers in their daily tasks. In addition, she has given various lectures to banks, trust service providers and stakeholders in the private sector.

In 2001, Jeanette moved to the private sector at a renowned accountancy firm in Aruba. In the early years she headed the tax department and was also responsible for human resources within the company. Furthermore, she assisted ABC-clients with fraud investigations, tax audits and negotiated with tax authorities on behalf of clients. After some time, she was appointed as managing director in which position she gave co-leadership to the offices in Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao. In addition, Jeanette taught the subject “Financial Investigation” for several years at the Police Academy Aruba.

Jeanette has been with Compliance & Forensic Services Caribbean since October 1st, 2010. Jeanette joined the management team on July 1st, 2012. She is responsible for assisting clients with their AML compliance programs and conducting integrity investigations. Jeanette is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a member of this organization (ACAMS) with extensive knowledge in the field of AML/CFT regulations and the operational aspects of Compliance.
